INTERFERENCE is an immersive full-dome performance developed during my artist residency at Société des arts technologiques [SAT] in Montreal, and performed during the IX Symposium in May, 2018. Seven live full-dome performances of INTERFERENCE were also presented the following week at Sonar Festival in Barcelona.
INTERFERENCE explores the intricate beauty of wave interactions in physical matter to generate live immersive visuals. Sound vibrations are transcoded into illuminated waves and choreographed in real time to shape dynamic visual patterns. Merging studies in wave mechanics and cymatics with musical structure and visual aesthetics, INTERFERENCE uses a multi-modal approach to create a 360° full dome experience.
